Pharmacological product in oral hydrosoluble powder, for administration in drinking water, containing sulfadimidine sodium salt.

Coccidiostatic and antimicrobial with broad spectrum. Sulfadimidine exerts its action by competitive inhibition of dihydropteroate synthetase, the enzyme responsible for the incorporation of para-aminobenzoic acid for the formation of dihydropteroic acid, essential for the life of a large number of bacteria and coccidia.

It is active in front of:

- Gram-negative bacteria: Escherichia coli, Salmonella spp., Haemophilus spp., Avibacterium paragallinarum (formerly Haemophilus paragallinarum), Pasteurella multocida, Bordetella bronchiseptica.

- Gram-positive bacteria, such as Streptococcus spp.

- Protozoa: Coccidia

Dosis: 

Administration in drinking water.

Chickens: 290-327 mg of medicine / kg p.v./day, for 4-5 consecutive days.

Coccidiosis in calves: 300 mg of medicine / kg p.v./day), the first day, and 150 mg of medicine / kg p.v./day, for 5 consecutive days.

Calves and pigs:  200 mg of medicine / kg p.v./day, the first day, and 100 mg of medicine / kg p.v./day, for 4 consecutive days.

  • Calves: Meat: 28 days
  • Pigs: Meat: 40 days.
  • Chickens:  Meat: 15 days
  • Eggs: Do not use in birds that produce or that will produce eggs destined for human consumption.
  • Do not use within 4 weeks before the start of the laying period
