Observation: The consumption of medicated feed depends on the clinical condition of the animals. To obtain a correct dosage, the antimicrobial concentration must be adjusted appropriately and water consumption must be guaranteed. In the case of not ensuring a correct oral dosage, administer a suitable injectable drug parenterally. Good clinical practice requires treatment to be based on susceptibility testing of bacteria isolated from diseased animals. If this is not possible, treatment should be based on local (regional, farm-level) epidemiological information on the susceptibility of the different strains of bacterial species commonly involved in the infectious process.
